The Best of Skye features the "Big Six" attractions: The Old Man of Storr, the Quirang, Fairy Glen, Fairy Pools, Kilt Rock and the Old Bridge at Sligachan

Our Best of Skye Tour takes you to the famous and iconic sights of the Isle of Skye,  with the stories, myths and legends brought to life by your guide.

You will have plenty of time to stop and explore and take your time learning about Skye's history, from neolithic settlements to Vikings to Hollywood movie locations, all while being taken to the best viewpoints.

Starting from a pick up point in Portree or your Skye accommodation, this is our most popular private group tour and will give you a great introduction to best of what Skye has to offer.

  • Old Man of Storr from a low level viewpoint. The walk to the Storr pinnacle itself is a 2 to 3 hour round trip, so if you want to do that (and it's a fantastic walk) it's better to book our bespoke tour.
  • Kilt Rock viewpoint
  • The Quirang viewpoint, a short walk to see the dramatic pinnacles and plateaus of this unique landscape
  • Explore the Fairy Glen
  • See the Cuillin mountains from the Old Bridge, Sligachan, and if you're brave enough, dip your face in the mythical river water.
  • Walk to the Fairy Pools, which takes around 90 minutes

You can also convert your experience into a two day tour to fit in more stops or to spend longer at each site, just get in touch or contact us about our bespoke tour option.

Your guide, Rod, lives on Skye and is very knowledgeable about this beautiful island.  He offers a range of themed Skye tours and also a fully bespoke option which can include guided hikes to more adventurous off the beaten track spots.
