Meet Rod, Your Isle of Skye Guide

Hello, I'm Rod.  I live on Skye with my artist wife and three children and have spent many years exploring the island's famous landmarks as well as searching out the many hidden gems that Skye has to offer.  Skye constantly surprises me and I don't ever think I'll be able to say I've seen it all! 

Touring with me, I will share my love of Skye's history, myths and legends and my fascination with the geology and archaeology of the Misty Isle.  I hope that I will convey my lifelong passion for the island’s breathtaking beauty.

I love hill walking and mountaineering, wild swimming and long dog walks all over the island.  I'm happiest challenging myself in the hills, rocks and pinnacles of the Cuillin mountains.

On Skye we're spoiled for choice of local produce from the land and sea.  As a keen cook and foodie, I keep up to date on the best food vans, cafes and restaurants so I can also offer recommendations for great evening meals, traditional music and the best cosy pubs on the island.
